There are many ways that our senior parishioners can get involved in their parish and many services that are available to them. See the articles below for more information.

OUR MISSION

To affirm the dignity of elder members of our faith community.

OUR VISION

Remembering that all people are created in the image of God, we are committed to serving and bringing the living compassion of to our elders.

OUR OBJECTIVES

  1. To assure our elders that they are valued members of our faith community, and to afford them the honour and respect to which they are entitled.
  2. To encourage our elders to continue to participate in all aspects of their faith community life.
  3. To inform our elders and their caregivers of the spiritual ministry offered by their faith community, so that they may make enlightened decisions regarding the spiritual directions in their life or in the life of their loved ones.
  4. To reach more of our elderly, unable to attend mass and to provide them with a means of attending mass on special occasions such as Christmas, Easter and special celebrations of the parish.
  5. To provide home visitation for those unable to attend mass, or to make phone visits.
  6. To encourage our elders to pray for the sick, ailing and suffering of our parish.
  7. To encourage our elders to pray for our youth as they commence their journey of faith and to pray for their parents, teachers, and catechists, as they introduce these voices of our future to a loving and caring God.

It is in the personal encounter that needs are discovered and the spirit is healed.
